MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country will experience cloudy skies and rains on Saturday due to the easterlies, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

In Pagasa’s 5 a.m. weather forecast, weather specialist Grace Castañeda said hot weather will also generally prevail in the country.

Castañeda also advised of possible isolated rain showers, lightnings and thunders in most parts of Luzon brought by the easterlies, or the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.

(They will continue to experience hot weather at noon but chances of isolated rains, thunders and lightnings are high in the afternoon and evening, especially for the rest of Mindanao.)

“Dulot po ito ng easterlies,” she pointed out.

(This is due to the easterlies.)
