MANILA, Philippines 鈥� Vice President听Jejomar Binay听on Wednesday accused Senator Antonio听Trillanes听IV of intimidating a witness to stop him from testifying at the Senate investigation into the alleged overpriced parking building in Makati City.

Binay said Trillanes听tried to stop a representative of a contractor from attending Tuesday鈥檚 hearing by the Senate blue ribbon committee.

鈥淚tong听testigong听ito听na听kinatawan听ng听kontrata听ay听pinagmumura听ni听Trillanes,鈥� he said at a press conference.

鈥淚to ay听minura,听tinakot,听dinuro听at (pinapasama听sa听kasong听plunder),鈥� said听Binay.

Binay听said the senator must have been afraid that this witness would tell the Senate that the parking building, which is the subject of the investigation, was not overpriced.

Binay听did not identify the witness as of posting time.
