Poll tribunal dismisses Aga Muhlach election protest

MANILA, Philippines—The House of Representatives Electoral Tribunal (HRET) dismissed the election protest of actor Aga Muhlach against Camarines Sur 4th District Representative Wimpy Fuentebella.

In a one page resolution, HRET said both parties mutually agreed to dismiss the case.

“Both mutually agreed that further proceedings in the instant case will not work for the interests of the people of the 4th district of the Province of Camarines Sur,” HRET resolution stated.

Muhlach protested the results of the 2013 elections after Fuentebella won by a small margin of 2,205 votes.
