The news article was published on October 5, 2013 but some readers inadvertently shared it, making it among our most read stories since Thursday.
At first, we included the year in the story鈥檚 lead (first paragraph) but this didn鈥檛 stop readers from accessing and sharing the article. This prompted us to revise the title of the story, this time to include the year (Oct. 15, 2013 declared a holiday) and issue this clarification.
Malaca帽ang declared October 15, 2013 a regular holiday throughout the country in observance of the Muslim Feast of Sacrifice or Eid鈥檒 Adha.
This year鈥檚 Eid鈥檒 Adha was celebrated last Monday, October 6, 2014.
