COTABATO CITY鈥擜n off-duty Army soldier was shot dead here by still unidentified suspects on Tuesday.
Initial police investigation showed that the soldier, whose identity has not been released yet as of posting time, had just claimed the proceeds of his loan from a local outlet of the Armed Forces and Police Savings and Loans Association in Barangay (village) Rosary Heights II here when attacked around 11:00 a.m.
Members of the barangay police pursued and engaged the suspects in a shootout. Three tricycle drivers had also been wounded in the crossfire. RAM
