Gambling machines destroyed in Lapu

AT LEAST 28 units of video karera machines were destroyed yesterday at the grounds of the Lapu-Lapu City Hall.

The illegal gambling machines were seized by police from different barangays in Lapu-Lapu.

Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza headed the dismantling of the machines.

The mayor challenged each police station to seize at least four machines or one each for every barangay.

Radaza ordered the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office headed by Senior Supt. Anthony Obenza to step up its operation against illegal gambling.

The mayor also warned illegal gambling operators to stop with their illegal activities as the city will continue to hunt them./CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
