Resigned Customs Chief Nicanor Faeldon admitted on Thursday an importer attempted to bribe him P300,000 weekly.

鈥淭here鈥檚 one attempt to bribe me, before I assumed office, but it鈥檚 not P100 million; it鈥檚 P300,000 something weekly, by one importer,鈥 Faeldon bared in a press conference in Taytay, Rizal.

鈥淏ut it鈥檚 not the direct importer, it is a third person who went to me,鈥 he added.

The former Bureau of Customs commissioner聽earlier denied he received P100 million worth of 鈥減asalubong鈥 or welcome gift, an allegation hurled against him by Senator Panfilo Lacson.

Faeldon said he slammed聽the offer outright, which was sent through a text message, from an importer he refused to name.

鈥淎ng sabi ko g*go, kalokohan n鈥檡o 鈥榶an, I don鈥檛 accept any form of gift. Kasi di naman bribe and tawag nila eh, gift,鈥 he said.

In the same press conference, Faeldon fired back at Lacson by revealing the senator鈥檚 son鈥檚 alleged 鈥渂illions worth of smuggled cement.鈥

鈥淥n July, ang Association of Cement Manufacturers of the Philippines reported to me the notorious smuggler of cement in the country. Bonjourno is number one smuggler of cement. That report is signed by them, they reported it to me,鈥 Faeldon said.

He also dared Lacson to disprove his expose.

鈥淣ow all you have to do senator Lacson is to disprove all of these dahil anak mo ang pumopronta, ang pumupunta nagpapakilalang managing director鈥︹ said Faeldon.

鈥淣ow I urge you to investigate this. Player ka ba? Player ba and anak mo? Dummy mo ba ito? Ito ba yung dummy nye, mga kompanyang to?鈥 he added. JE
