A police report said Ricardo San Pedro was headed home on his tricycle around 10:15 p.m. when a gray Suzuki Ciaz sedan overtook him on M. de Vera Street.

But the car driver, Malabon resident Ralf Alcalde, sideswiped the tricycle, making San Pedro lose control of his vehicle. As a result, it hit a parked government vehicle, a Toyota Avanza, according to traffic investigation unit head, Senior Master Sgt. Guiama Ibrahim.

Inside the Avanza were Cpls. Joseph Severilla and J-Rossillino Lorenzo from the Navotas police’s Mobile Patrol Unit.

Instead of stopping, Alcalde escaped toward C4 Road but was caught after he was chased by Severilla and Lorenzo.
