President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday alleged that former president Rodrigo Duterte is taking fentanyl.
“I think it’s the fentanyl. Fentanyl is the strongest painkiller you can buy. It is highly addictive and it has very serious side effects and PRRD has been taking the drug for a very long time now,” said Marcos in an ambush interview in Pasay before he left for Vietnam.
Vice President Sara Duterte on Monday said that her brother, Davao Mayor Sebastian Duterte, was coming from a place of “brotherly love” when he asked President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to resign.

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Monday said it will halt all proceedings related to the signature drive for amending the 1987 Constitution via people’s initiative (PI).
This includes the Comelec’s acceptance of signatures in their local offices.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will appeal to the House of Representatives and other people’s initiative initiators to stop the “dreaded” scheme, Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri disclosed in Monday’s plenary session.
Zubiri, in his speech, said Marcos believes the move is now “getting out of hand.”
