MANILA, Philippines — Some roads in the cities of Manila and Pasay will be closed on Monday, January 13, in time for the peace rally of Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) to be held at the Quirino Grandstand.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Friday said that the event is expected to attract one million attendees from different provinces.

The following roads will be closed on Monday from 4 a.m. onwards:
- Katigbak Drive
- South Drive
- Roxas Blvd. (from UN Ave. to P. Burgos)
- TM Kalaw
- Bonifacio Drive (from P. Burgos to Anda Circle)
- P. Burgos (from Roxas Blvd. to Taft Ave.)
- Maria Orosa
Meanwhile, motorists are advised of the following reroutes going northbound:
- Roxas Blvd
- Right turn to Quirino Ave or UN Ave.
- Left turn to Taft Ave.
- To destination
For private vehicles going southbound:
- R-10 to Bonifacio Drive and Anda Circle
- Left to Soriano Ave.
- Right to Muralla St.
- Left to Magallanes Drive
- Right to P. Burgos to Taft Ave.
- To destination
For trucks bound to North Harbor from SLEX (South Luzon Expressway):
- Straight to Osmeña Highway
- Right to Quirino Ave.
- Straight to Nagtahan St. to Lacson Ave.
- Left to Yuseco St.
- Straight to Capulong St.
- Left or right to R-10
- To destination
Trucks going to Parañaque:
- Right turn to Quirino Ave to Nagtahan and Lacson Ave.
- To destination
Meanwhile, Malacañang has suspended government work and classes in both cities. while the suspension of work in private offices will be at the discretion of respective companies.

The INC previously said that the rally will be an expression of support for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s opposition to the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte.
