P2.7M shabu seized from ‘high-value’ target in Pampanga
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Policemen arrested a man classified as a high-value individual in the government’s war against illegal drugs, who allegedly yielded some P2,788,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in nearby Magalang, Pampanga before midnight on Tuesday, Jan. 4.
In a statement Thursday, the Central Luzon police said the 30-year-old suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation in San Jose village around 11:45 p.m.
Magalang municipal policemen said the suspect, identified only as alias “Ben,” is a resident of Angono, Rizal.
Lawmen allegedly confiscated 410 grams of suspected shabu from the arrested person, who faces charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The 10 pieces of P1,000 marked money used in the sting operarion were also recovered. INQ
