Man kills live-in partner then commits suicide in Batangas

LUCENA CITY – A 36-year-old man allegedly shot his live-in partner dead and then committed suicide on Friday (Feb. 28) in Mabini town in Batangas province.

In a spot report Saturday (March 1), the Region 4A police said at 6:45 p.m., “Patrick” and “Katherine,” 39, were quarreling inside their house in Barangay (village) Mainit.

Investigators found out that in a fit of rage, Patrick pulled out a caliber .45 pistol and shot Katherine in her head.

Afterwards, he pointed the gun to his head and also shot himself.

Police discovered the dead bodies of the victims inside their bedroom and a firearm lying on the floor.

The police are conducting further investigation.
