WALANG PASOK: In-person classes suspended amid dangerous heat index

Several local government units and schools have suspended face-to-face classes on Monday, March 3, as the state weather bureau forecasts a "danger" level of heat index in parts of Luzon.

MANILA, Philippines鈥擲everal local government units and schools suspended face-to-face classes on Monday, March 3, following the state weather bureau鈥檚 forecast of a 鈥渄anger鈥 heat index level in parts of Luzon.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), its stations in Science Garden in Quezon City and Clark Airport in Pampanga forecast a heat index of 46 degrees Celsius, which falls under the 鈥渄anger鈥 category.

Pagasa station in Central Luzon State University (CLSU) in Mu帽oz, Nueva Ecija, may also experience a 鈥渄anger鈥 heat index of 45 degrees for the province on Monday, Pagasa added.
