These projects have a total funding of P83.4 million allocated for this year and in 2026.
In a statement on Thursday, DPWH Ilocos Region information officer Esperanza Tinaza said the four-story building has eight classrooms located in Natividad National High School in Natividad.
It has a total budget of P27.9 million.
The structure is expected to be completed within 245 calendar days.
The building spans 23 by 9.5 meters.
Tinaza said Umingan National High School in Umingan town will also have a four-story building that will house 16 classrooms.
It has a total funding of P55.5 million and is expected to be completed within 502 calendar days.
She said the scope of this project includes the demolition of a school building and the construction of a modern facility.
“The construction of these school buildings will significantly enhance the learning environment, reduce overcrowding, and provide better facilities for students and teachers,” Tinaza said.
She noted the project would also boost student enrollment, engage the community, stimulate the local economy, and ensure safety and accessibility.
She added that the initiative also aligns with the government’s vision of providing sustainable and high-quality education for all.
