MANILA, Philippines – Some areas in Luzon will continue to have fair weather, while other parts of the country may experience rain showers on Monday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
In its morning forecast, the state weather bureau said three weather systems — easterlies, the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), and the northeast monsoon or amihan — continue to affect the country.

(In some parts of Southern Luzon and the western portions of the Visayas, the weather will still be rainy due to the easterlies, and if we see this cluster of clouds, that is the ITCZ and it will affect some parts of Mindanao.)
“At dahil po dyan maaring maranasan pa rin po yung mga pagulan dito sa may western and southern portions ng Mindanao ngayong araw,” she added.
(Because of that, rain showers will be experienced over the western and southern portions of Mindanao within the day.)
On the other hand, the rest of Luzon will see fair weather with short rain showers due to amihan, Torres said.
(In the coming days, amihan will still affect parts of Northern Luzon and will gradually weaken, while easterlies will prevail again.)
Torres likewise reported that no low-pressure area or tropical cyclone was monitored inside and outside the country’s area of responsibility.
She added that no gale warning was raised in any of the country’s seaboard.
