(This important day is a reminder of Allah’s goodness and the important teachings of the holy Quran and the unity and sharing of blessings with family and, above all, with those in need.)
She also expressed hope Eid’l Fitr would grant the public peace and endless joy in their homes and reward their sacrifices with love and prosperity.
Eid’l Fitr marks the end of the month-long fasting of Ramadan.
The official holiday for the feast is Tuesday, April 1, but the festival itself was celebrated on Monday, following the sighting of the crescent moon, which signifies the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Shawwal.
